My guides and my heart is directing me to bring Reiki back onto the front burner for a wonderful purpose and it is to be the basis of a new program that will be offered to those who are touched by addictive behaviors, such as alcoholism, prescriptive medications, other drugs, food, gambling and such.  This program is designed to work with medical treatments already in place and 12-step programs that are the basis of alcohol treatments and recovery.  Reiki has always been that way – not in place of,  rather along side of and with.  I am so excited and committed to this new program that I am bursting at the seams with certainty and success.  You needn’t worry about where you live, this program can adapt to you and your location.

The basis of this program is to heal the body and to receive tools that will assist with the scary and challenging decisions we face every day while arresting and dealing with addictive tendencies in our lives.  These tools give us insight into ourselves and our power while meeting the bombardment we face through just living, especially in a world that doesn’t always support decisions that are out of the mainstream.  Ego, personal control, professional stress, illness, financial pressures, temptation and achievement surround us continually.  Reiki will heal and balance the body and remove toxins that block progress toward wellness.  The tools are ones we can carry (at all times!) in our emotional and spiritual “toolboxes” to maintain and manage our actions – moment to moment -  and they will work.

Here is February and what are you doing about planning your Space??

For those of us in New England the weather has been anything but inspirational toward planning our Sacred Space – whether indoors or out.

Or HAS it???  Perhaps we need to look at what a positive spin we can place on heavy snow, ice and wind chill while thinking about our gardens and meditation spots.  How beautiful is white winter, really?  VERY beautiful when you consider it brings peace and quiet, red cardinals against a back-drop of shimmering white, wind chimes catching a breeze or the sun,  tree trunks that defy organization and move in glorious geometry and reaching for the heavens, icicles that shimmer like diamonds.

What moves you and makes you desire to bring this peace forward to your Sacred Space and it’s planning?  All of it has an influence that can be part of the inspiration toward color, texture, statuary and Mother Earth.  Winter, whether you live in cold climates or not should be a part of your meditation location.  We honor it as we do all of the seasons, but more importantly, it has a place in our peaceful deliberation of mind, body and spirit.  Look at where you live and think of using that vision in your design – how to do it is easy, remembering it may be a little more challenging.

So, take photos of your yard, your town, your community, the little creatures that frequent and scurry where you live and place them in your design portfolio.  Bird-feeders may become an important part of your design and a loving connection to spirit in the spring – but right now they are a blessed inspiration.   All of the experiences of the winter months are fodder for your thoughts on Sacred Space going forward.  Let us know your thoughts, we’d love to help.
